*The Zoe Fund
Zoe is a beautiful Hanoverian mare, trained in dressage through second level, and lovingly donated to Carlisle Academy by benefactress Mary Giftos. Sweet-natured and willing, Zoe was a gift of love from Mary’s brother, a Trappist monk, at a time of great personal challenge in her life. Zoe’s name derives from the Greek word meaning “life.” She now enriches the lives of special needs and able-bodied students at Carlisle Academy as they advance in para-equestrian and dressage training.
Mary’s generous founding of The Zoe Fund helps offset tuition for financially challenged riders with disabilities, developing their skills and competitive readiness through regular lessons, special skills clinics, and national training symposia offered by Carlisle Academy in partnership with the US Para-Equestrian Association.
